Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information Howard City Offices ("we," "us") collects through this website, how we use it, and the choices you have. We lease private offices in Howard City, Michigan, and we collect only what we need to answer your questions and show you an office.
What we collect
Information you give us
When you request a tour, we ask for:
- Your name, phone number, and email address
- Your business name, if you choose to share it
- How many people would use the office and when you'd like to move in
- Any message you write
If you call or email us, we receive whatever you choose to share. If you go on to apply for or sign a lease, we collect the information that process requires, and the lease itself governs how that information is handled.
Collected automatically
Like most websites, ours receives standard technical information when you visit: your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you view, the page that referred you, and the date and time. This comes from the servers that deliver the site, and we use it to keep the site running and secure.
The site is hosted by Wix, which may set cookies that are necessary for security and for the site to work. We don't use advertising cookies or cross-site tracking.
The location page can show a map from Google Maps, but only after you choose to load it. When it loads, your browser connects to Google, which receives your IP address and may set cookies under Google's privacy policy. The fonts on this site are served from the site itself, so reading the rest of it doesn't contact Google.
How we use it
- To reply to your inquiry, schedule tours, and talk with you about leasing an office
- To send you information you asked for, such as current availability and rent
- To keep the website working, secure, and free of spam
- To keep ordinary business records and meet legal obligations
We won't add you to a marketing list unless you ask us to.
Calls, texts, and email
If you give us your phone number or email address, we may call, text, or email you about your inquiry. We don't send marketing texts. You can ask us to stop contacting you at any time, and we will.
How we share it
We don't sell your personal information, and we don't share it for advertising. We share it only:
- With service providers that help us run the site and our business, such as Wix for hosting and form submissions, and our email and phone providers
- With professional advisers, such as our attorney or accountant, when needed
- When the law requires it, or to protect our rights, property, or safety or that of others
- If the building or our business is sold, with the new owner, who will be bound by this policy for information collected under it
How long we keep it
We keep inquiry information for as long as it's useful for responding to you and for ordinary business records, and then delete it. If you become a tenant, records related to your lease are kept for the length of the lease and as long afterward as the law or good record-keeping requires.
Security
We use reasonable measures to protect your information, including the security provided by our hosting and form providers. No method of sending or storing information is completely secure, so please don't send sensitive details, such as financial account or Social Security numbers, through the website.
Your choices
You can ask us to tell you what personal information we have about you, to correct it, or to delete it. We'll respond within a reasonable time and as required by law. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under your state's privacy laws, and we'll honor them.
Children
This site is for adults looking for office space. We don't knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Links to other sites
Our pages link to other websites, such as Google Maps and government sites. Their privacy practices are their own.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll post the new version here and update the effective date above.
